Message from the President
Traffic facilities and systems support industry and contribute
to more convenient and affluent lives.
These facilities and systems, however, also cause problems
related to safety, the environment and energy.
In response, new paradigm shifts have been taking place.
The International Association of Traffic and Safety Sciences (IATSS)
comprises professionals in a range of traffic-related fields.
Gathering together the knowledge and expertise of these professionals,
the IATSS has been conducting a range of activities
to build ideal traffic flows for modern society based on the philosophy
it has upheld since it’s foundation:
“Conduct interdisciplinary research to attain specific targets.”
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude
to all those who have supported the activities of the IATSS.
The IATSS is working to develop its ideas, knowledge and expertise
on mobility in modern society,
and we ask for your continued support with this task.
