Survey study on initiatives related to traffic and safety in future cities

Project leader:Fumihiko Nakamura
Year:2024 Project number:2430

Background and Objectives

This project supports the realization of opportunities for young researchers to visit various countries and regions based on their own interests in transportation and safety, to see and learn from actual fields, and to meet with local researchers and practitioners to gain and share knowledge. Continuing from last year, the program will target U.K. and Thailand.

Expected Results

The program will cover a wide range of activities with a degree of freedom, including meetings with prominent researchers, participation in research meetings, and inspection tours (of advanced cases related to traffic safety, cities, the environment, etc.) In principle, members from the same travel country will be asked to coordinate their travel schedule and hold an opinion exchange meeting on-site. It is hoped that the experience gained through this project will contribute to the growth of young researchers. This is also a continuation of last year?s project.
